I am a qualified Counsellor with a BSc in Counselling.
I am registered with the National Counselling Society (NCS), and I am DBS checked.
Throughout my career as a counsellor I have worked with the NHS on the IAPT programme, and I have worked with children and young people.
I am an open and non-judgemental therapist, who will welcome you to share your truth and your experience, so I am able to support you in a way that suits you. The relationship I have with you as a client is very important and one that is built on trust and transparency.
I have spent my working life supporting children and young people who have experienced many challenges in their life.
I made the choice to become a counsellor in 2014 when I was teaching 14-16 year olds with behavioural problems. I felt that I wanted to do more, as they would become adults who would need support for what they had experienced in their lives.
I have had therapy myself on and off over the years, so I know what it is like to come to therapy and how nervous you can be when waiting for the first session or even the next session, once sessions have started.
I know what it is like to experience adversity, and have to overcome many hurdles in life.
